The GUHRING 9005020067500 is an extra length, high speed steel drill bit engineered for deep hole drilling applications where standard-length tooling cannot reach. Built to DIN 1869 specification, this Series 502 bit features a parabolic flute geometry and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that improves chip evacuation and reduces thrust load at depth. The drill carries a 130-degree point angle with standard point type and cuts right-hand. With a 0.2656 inch diameter and an overall length of 8.858 inches, it delivers a maximum drilling depth of 5.704 inches. The straight-cylindrical shank provides secure, concentric clamping in standard drill chucks and collet holders. No coating or finish is applied, keeping the cutting edge geometry precise out of the box.
This drill bit is rated as a high-performance grade tool designed primarily for aluminum workpieces, with material codes K, N, and P indicating broader suitability for non-ferrous and some ferrous materials. The parabolic flute profile and 15xD flute-to-diameter ratio make it well suited for production environments or field service situations where consistent deep-hole results are required. Machinists, tool-room technicians, and maintenance trades working with aluminum plate, extrusions, or cast components will find this bit appropriate for both CNC machine and drill-press applications.
Designed as a DIN 1869 Series 502 extra length drill bit optimized for aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials; fits standard straight-shank drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 17/64 inch shank diameter.
This bit is installed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians in drill presses, milling machines, or CNC machining centers. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully in a properly sized collet or drill chuck before operation and verify runout before beginning a deep-hole cycle. For deep-hole operations, retract the bit periodically to clear chips and prevent packing, especially in aluminum. Follow the machine manufacturer and shop safety protocols, including appropriate RPM and feed rate selection for the workpiece material.
