The GUHRING 9003290030000 is a cobalt (M35) screw machine length drill bit engineered for demanding metal removal in production and maintenance environments. Built to DIN 1897 standards, it features a 3.00 mm diameter, a 130-degree cone-relief point, and an oxide finish that provides basic lubricity and corrosion resistance at the cutting edge. The stub-length body keeps overall length to 46.00 mm, improving rigidity and reducing deflection in short-reach drilling applications. Two regular spiral flutes clear chips efficiently at a 3xD depth ratio, with a maximum drilling depth of 16.00 mm. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance mechanics are the primary users of this bit.
This drill bit is rated for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys, making it suitable for job shops, production lines, and MRO operations that encounter tough ferrous and exotic materials. The straight cylindrical shank, 3.00 mm in diameter and 30.00 mm long, seats directly in standard drill chucks, collets, and quick-change tooling systems. The web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces thrust requirements and improves centering on harder materials. Sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed as a DIN 1897 Series 329 stub-length replacement drill bit compatible with standard drill chucks, collet holders, and quick-change systems accepting a 3.00 mm straight cylindrical shank.
Machining operations with this bit should be performed by qualified machinists or trained trade professionals following established shop safety practices. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Apply cutting fluid or coolant appropriate for the workpiece material, particularly when drilling stainless steel or high-temperature alloys, as this bit does not support through-coolant delivery. Confirm shank seating depth and chuck runout before starting the cut to protect both the bit and the workpiece.
