The GUHRING 9003050046200 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit in Series 305, designed for general-purpose drilling in demanding metalworking applications. The bit measures 0.1819 inches in diameter (Wire Size 14) with an 80 mm overall length and a 118-degree standard point angle. The cobalt construction with oxide coating provides added heat and wear resistance compared to standard high-speed steel, making this bit well-suited for ferrous metals. A web-thinned, tapered web reduces entry force and improves chip clearing. This bit is sold individually and is handled by licensed machinists, tool and die tradespeople, and maintenance technicians.
This drill bit is built for drilling cast iron and steel in production and maintenance environments. The right-hand spiral flute with a regular spiral type efficiently evacuates chips during through-hole and blind-hole drilling operations. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks found on benchtop drill presses, CNC machining centers, and handheld power drills. With a flute length of 47 mm and a maximum drilling depth of approximately 1.578 inches (40.07 mm), it handles typical jobber-depth applications across a range of workpiece thicknesses.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks on drill presses, machining centers, and power drills where a straight-cylindrical shank jobber length bit conforming to DIN 338 is required. Primary workpiece materials are cast iron and steel.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance tradespeople familiar with proper chuck securing procedures. Ensure the drill chuck is fully tightened and the workpiece is securely clamped before beginning drilling operations. Power down and de-energize the machine before changing bits. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant when drilling steel or cast iron to extend tool life, noting this bit does not support coolant-through delivery.
