The GUHRING 9002050060000 is a high speed steel jobber-length twist drill bit ground to DIN 338 standards. It carries a 6.00 mm diameter, an 118-degree standard point angle, and an oxide coating that reduces friction and surface wear during drilling. The two-flute, right-hand spiral design provides consistent chip evacuation in both cast iron and steel workpieces. The shank diameter matches the cutting diameter at 6.00 mm with a straight-cylindrical profile, making it compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders. The overall length is 93.00 mm with a 57.00 mm flute length, allowing a maximum drilling depth of 48.00 mm. The web is thinned and tapered to reduce entry force and improve centering. This is a general-purpose drill for machinists, maintenance technicians, and fabrication shops.
This drill bit is suited for general-purpose drilling in ferrous materials including cast iron and steel. It fits production, maintenance-repair, and toolroom environments where DIN 338 jobber-length drills are the standard. The Series 205 designation places it in GUHRING standard jobber drill line. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio provides adequate flute capacity for chip removal at typical hand-feed and machine-feed rates in benchtop drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand drills.
Designed as a general-purpose DIN 338 jobber drill for use in steel and cast iron. Compatible with any drill press, machining center, or handheld drill using a standard chuck or collet sized for a 6.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Intended primary workpiece materials are cast iron and steel per material codes K and P.
Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance technicians using a standard drill chuck or ER collet system. Secure the shank fully in the chuck before operation and confirm concentricity on machine spindles to avoid premature wear. Power down or de-energize the machine and verify zero spindle movement before changing or inspecting the bit. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant for the workpiece material and feed rate being applied, noting this bit does not support coolant-through delivery.
