The GUDEN GGN44-080-X is a nitrogen-charged gas spring designed to provide controlled linear force in industrial and mechanical applications. With an 80 lb force capacity and a 0.24-inch rod diameter paired with a 0.59-inch tube diameter, this spring delivers consistent, damped extension through a 3.5-inch stroke. The steel construction with a black nitride piston coating resists wear and corrosion under repeated cycle loads. At 12 inches extended and 8.5 inches compressed, it fits a range of mounting envelopes common in industrial equipment, tooling fixtures, and access panels. Installation requires a threaded end connection on the rod side.
This gas spring is suited for use in industrial machinery, workstation enclosures, equipment access doors, tooling jigs, and similar mechanical assemblies where controlled lifting force or motion damping is required. The threaded end fitting allows for secure, adjustable attachment in fabricated steel structures. With an 80 lb force rating, it is appropriate for light to medium load applications in both commercial and light industrial environments. Maintenance technicians, mechanical assemblers, and equipment fabricators are the typical installers.
Designed as a direct-fit gas spring for industrial machinery, equipment enclosures, tooling fixtures, and access panel assemblies requiring an 80 lb force, 3.5-inch stroke, and threaded end connection.
Gas springs should be installed by qualified mechanical technicians familiar with compressed-gas component handling. Always depressurize or isolate any connected mechanical system before removing or replacing a gas spring. Do not drill, weld, heat, or modify the spring body or rod, as the internal nitrogen charge is under pressure. Verify that threaded end fittings are fully engaged and torqued per the host equipment manufacturer specifications before returning the assembly to service.
