The GRIER ABRASIVES T19-2B20723 is a Type 19 square tip abrasive plug designed for aggressive material removal on metal, weld dressing, and surface conditioning applications. It is constructed with aluminum oxide grain bonded in a resinoid matrix, delivering a very coarse, 16-grit cut that removes stock quickly on hard surfaces. Rated to 18,000 RPM maximum, this plug is suited for use with angle grinders and die grinders equipped with a 5/8-11 threaded arbor. Industrial maintenance technicians, fabricators, and metal finishing professionals are the primary installers of this type of tooling.
This abrasive plug is intended for use in metal fabrication shops, pipe fitting operations, and industrial maintenance settings where internal or contoured surface grinding is required. The square tip geometry allows access to corners, bores, and recessed areas that flat-face wheels cannot reach. It is appropriate for ferrous metal applications requiring fast, coarse stock removal before finishing passes.
Designed for use with angle grinders and die grinders with a 5/8-11 threaded spindle. Meets Standards C, IMA, and ISA as noted in product specifications.
Installation and operation of abrasive plug wheels should be performed by trained personnel familiar with ANSI B7.1 safety codes for abrasive wheel use. Always inspect the wheel for cracks or damage before mounting and ensure the grinder spindle speed does not exceed the 18,000 RPM maximum rated speed of this wheel. Power down and disconnect or lock out the grinder before mounting or removing the wheel. Eye protection, face shields, and appropriate PPE are required during grinding operations.
