The GRIER ABRASIVES B90-N3-17562 is an aluminum oxide mounted point in a B90 ball shape, designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing on metal, hard alloys, and similar materials. The abrasive head measures 1/2 inch in thickness and is bonded in a unitized bond structure for consistent stock removal. The 1/8-inch diameter shank seats into standard die grinders and rotary tools. With a maximum operating speed of 34,500 RPM, this mounted point is suited to high-speed rotary applications where control and finish quality matter. It is finished in a medium grade and identified by its green color for quick grade identification at the bench.
This mounted point is used in metal fabrication, tool and die work, mold finishing, and general grinding operations where access to small cavities or contoured surfaces is required. The B90 ball shape is well suited to concave grinding, port work, and internal radius blending. It fits applications in both production and maintenance environments, including weld cleanup, casting finishing, and burr removal on machined components. Trade machinists, tool grinders, and maintenance mechanics are the typical end users for this style of abrasive point.
Designed for use in die grinders, rotary tools, and flex-shaft machines equipped with a 1/8-inch collet. Suitable as a general-purpose mounted point for ferrous metal grinding and finishing applications.
Mounted points must be installed and operated by personnel familiar with abrasive tooling safety. Confirm the spindle speed of the host tool does not exceed the 34,500 RPM rating marked for this point before use. Inspect the shank for damage or runout before seating it in the collet, and tighten the collet securely per the tool manufacturer's procedure. Always wear appropriate eye protection and ensure all guards are in place before powering the tool.
