The GRIER ABRASIVES B122-N2-18155 is a ball-shaped mounted point abrasive designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing on metal and similar hard materials. Built with aluminum oxide abrasive media and a unitized bond type, this mounted point delivers consistent fine-grade cutting action across a range of contouring and detail work. The 3/8-inch head thickness and B122 ball profile make it well suited for internal bore work, die work, and hard-to-reach surface areas. With a maximum operating speed of 51,000 RPM, it is compatible with standard die grinders and rotary tools. The 3/32-inch shank diameter fits most collet chucks used in professional shop and field environments.
This mounted point is used in metalworking, tool and die, fabrication, and maintenance applications where fine material removal and surface refinement are required. It performs well on steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals in both bench and portable die grinder setups. The ball shape is particularly effective for grinding internal radii, contoured recesses, and weld cleanup in tight geometries. Machinists, toolmakers, and metal fabricators are the primary installers and users of this type of abrasive point.
Designed for use with die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 3/32-inch shank diameter collet. Suitable for fine grinding and deburring applications on metal workpieces requiring a ball-profile abrasive point.
This mounted point should be installed and operated by trained machinists or metalworking professionals familiar with abrasive tooling safety. Always confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 51,000 RPM maximum rating before use. Inspect the mounted point for cracks or damage before each use and discard if any defect is found. Use appropriate eye protection and guarding per applicable ANSI abrasive safety standards when operating grinding equipment.
