The GRIER ABRASIVES B-TB-2 is a telescoping wheel bushing designed to adapt abrasive wheels and grinding discs to multiple arbor bore sizes. With a 1 inch outside diameter and a 7/16 inch thickness, this bushing supports three common inner diameter configurations: 1/2 inch, 5/8 inch, and 3/4 inch. The telescoping design allows a single bushing to fit a range of arbor sizes without requiring multiple separate adapters. This type of bushing is a standard consumable used by machinists, fabricators, and trades professionals when mounting grinding wheels, cut-off wheels, or wire wheels to bench grinders and angle grinders.
This bushing is suited for use in shop environments where abrasive wheels with varying bore sizes must be mounted to grinders with different arbor diameters. It is commonly installed during wheel changes on bench grinders, pedestal grinders, and portable angle grinders. The telescoping feature makes it particularly useful in multi-tech shops or field service kits where different arbor sizes are encountered regularly.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement bushing for abrasive wheels requiring a 1 inch OD bushing with 1/2 inch, 5/8 inch, or 3/4 inch inner diameter fitment on standard bench and angle grinder arbors.
Wheel bushing installation should be performed by a qualified tradesperson with the grinder fully powered down and unplugged before beginning. Confirm the bushing seats flush against the wheel flange before tightening the arbor nut. Follow applicable ANSI B7.1 safety standards for abrasive wheel mounting. Never operate a grinder with a loose or improperly seated bushing.
