The GREEN LEAF RB 300-200 P is a polypropylene reducer bushing designed to transition from a 3-inch male iron pipe thread (MIPT) to a 2-inch female iron pipe thread (FIPT) in threaded piping systems. Molded in black polypropylene, it offers corrosion resistance and chemical compatibility suited to water distribution and industrial fluid handling applications. The part is NSF 61 and NSF 372 certified, confirming suitability for potable water contact and low-lead compliance. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this fitting in both above-ground and mechanical room environments.
This reducer bushing is used wherever a threaded piping run requires a step-down from 3-inch to 2-inch pipe sizing. Typical applications include municipal water service laterals, irrigation mainlines, commercial plumbing distribution headers, chemical feed systems, and pool or spa mechanical rooms where polypropylene is specified for its resistance to chlorinated or mildly corrosive fluids. The MIPT x FIPT configuration allows the bushing to thread directly into a female socket or fitting body on one end while accepting a male-threaded pipe or nipple on the other.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded reducer bushing for use in 3-inch to 2-inch NPT threaded piping systems constructed with polypropylene or compatible thermoplastic and metal fittings.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the affected line before disassembly or installation. Apply an NSF-listed thread sealant tape or compound to the male threads before assembly; do not overtighten, as polypropylene threads can crack under excessive torque. Verify system pressure and temperature ratings are within the fitting's design range before returning the line to service.
