The GREEN LEAF RB 112-1 P is a polypropylene reducer bushing designed to transition between a 1-1/2 inch male pipe thread and a 1 inch female pipe thread in a single fitting. Molded from black polypropylene, this bushing resists corrosion and chemical exposure in a wide range of fluid handling applications. The MPT x FPT connection follows standard NPT threading, making it compatible with conventional pipe assembly methods. It carries NSF 61 and NSF 372 certifications, confirming its suitability for use in potable water systems. Plumbers and pipefitters install this bushing when reducing from a larger female-threaded port to a smaller male-threaded run without adding a separate coupling or adapter.
The RB 112-1 P is used in residential and light commercial plumbing systems where a threaded reducer is needed between plastic or compatible metal pipe segments. Typical applications include supply line assemblies, irrigation manifolds, chemical dosing systems, and water treatment installations where polypropylene's resistance to scale and mild chemicals is an advantage. Its lightweight construction and standard NPT thread profile make it straightforward to install in tight spaces or retrofit applications.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded reducer bushing for use in standard NPT polypropylene pipe systems in potable water, irrigation, and fluid handling applications.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified pipefitters following applicable IPC and local plumbing codes. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before threading this bushing into any fitting or valve body. Apply an appropriate thread sealant tape or compound rated for plastic fittings; do not overtighten, as polypropylene threads can crack under excessive torque. Verify thread engagement and check for leaks before returning the system to service.
