The GREEN LEAF D 3412 is a male hose thread to barb adapter designed to connect a 3/4 inch male garden hose thread (MGHT) fitting to a 1/2 inch barbed hose or tubing connection. Molded from nylon, this adapter provides a lightweight, corrosion-resistant transition between threaded garden hose fittings and flexible barbed tubing. It is a single-piece fitting suited for irrigation systems, outdoor water supply lines, and general-purpose fluid transfer applications. Plumbers, irrigation technicians, and experienced DIYers typically install this fitting when transitioning from a threaded hose bib or faucet outlet to flexible poly or vinyl tubing.
This adapter is appropriate for residential and light commercial irrigation setups, garden hose assemblies, and low-pressure water distribution lines. It fits standard 3/4 inch male garden hose thread on one end and accepts 1/2 inch inner diameter flexible tubing on the barbed end. Typical installation scenarios include connecting drip irrigation supply lines, soaker hose assemblies, or similar flexible tubing directly to a threaded hose outlet.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or upgrade fitting compatible with standard 3/4 inch male garden hose thread (MGHT) connections and 1/2 inch inner diameter flexible barbed tubing in residential and light commercial irrigation or water supply assemblies.
Shut off the water supply at the source before installing or removing any hose fittings. Hand-tighten the threaded MGHT connection first, then use pliers only if necessary to achieve a snug, leak-free seal — avoid over-tightening nylon fittings as the material can crack under excessive torque. Secure the barbed end by pressing appropriate-diameter flexible tubing fully onto the barb and clamping with a hose clamp where pressure demands require it. Verify the connection is rated for the intended operating pressure before restoring flow.
