The GREE VIR12HP230V1R32AH is a 12,000 BTU/h wall-mounted indoor air handler for single-zone ductless mini split heat pump systems. It operates on 208-230 volts and uses R32 refrigerant, a lower global-warming-potential alternative to R410A. The unit delivers both cooling and heating through a DC inverter-driven system, with a cooling range down to 0 degrees F ambient and a heating range down to -13 degrees F ambient. HVAC technicians install this unit as the indoor component of a paired mini split system, connecting it to a compatible GREE outdoor condensing unit via refrigerant lineset and low-voltage control wiring.
The VIR12HP230V1R32AH is designed for single-zone residential applications such as bedrooms, living areas, additions, and spaces without existing ductwork. The indoor wall mount head mounts high on the wall and delivers conditioned air across a range of 230 to 400 CFM. The unit includes integrated Wi-Fi for smart device control and ships with a wireless remote with LCD display. Wired controller options are also supported. This is the indoor-only air handler and requires a separately purchased or matched GREE Vireo R32 outdoor unit to form a complete system.
This is the indoor wall mount air handler for the GREE Vireo R32 single-zone mini split system. It requires a compatible GREE Vireo R32 outdoor condensing unit to form a complete operating system. Minimum circuit ampacity is 10 amps with a maximum breaker rating of 15 amps.
Installation must be performed by an EPA Section 608-certified HVAC technician, as R32 is an A2L mildly flammable refrigerant requiring specific handling procedures and tools rated for A2L refrigerants. Before servicing or mounting, disconnect and lock out all electrical power to the circuit. The indoor unit requires a wall penetration for the refrigerant lineset, condensate drain, and control wiring, and must be mounted level on a structurally sound surface capable of supporting the unit weight. Follow all applicable local mechanical and electrical codes during installation.
