The GREE CAS09HP230V1R32AH is a 9,000 BTU/h ceiling cassette indoor unit for mini-split heat pump systems, designed to operate on 230 volts with R32 refrigerant. It uses a centrifugal fan with 7 selectable speeds to distribute conditioned air in a full 360-degree pattern across a room, eliminating the directional limitations of wall-mount or floor-mount indoor units. Airflow ranges from 206 to 330 CFM, and the unit delivers a dehumidification rate of 2.96 pints per hour. A wired controller interface is standard. Licensed HVAC technicians install this unit as the indoor air handler in a compatible All Match or Multi21 R32 mini-split system.
This cassette is suited for residential and light-commercial applications where ceiling-flush installation is preferred for aesthetics or space constraints. Typical install scenarios include offices, hotel rooms, retail spaces, and open-concept residential areas where a 9,000 BTU/h cooling and heating load is appropriate. The unit pairs with compatible GREE outdoor units including the VIR09HP230V1R32AO, ENV09HP230V1R32AO, and SAP09HP230V1R32AO. It is powered entirely by the outdoor unit and carries no auxiliary electric heater. Intelligent defrost, intelligent preheating, low-voltage startup, and memory and power-failure recovery functions are built in.
The CAS09HP230V1R32AH is compatible with GREE All Match and Multi21 R32 outdoor units, including the VIR09HP230V1R32AO, ENV09HP230V1R32AO, and SAP09HP230V1R32AO. This unit is the indoor air handler only and requires a separately sourced compatible outdoor unit to operate.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician certified to handle R32 refrigerant under applicable local and EPA Section 608 regulations. Power down the outdoor unit and disconnect all electrical supply before connecting or servicing the indoor unit. The cassette mounts flush in a suspended ceiling and requires a separately purchased ceiling panel; verify minimum clearance specifications from the submittal data before framing the ceiling opening. Do not operate the indoor unit without confirming proper refrigerant line sizing, line-set length limits, and condensate drain slope per the manufacturer service manual.
