The GREAT LAKES GL48WDS-B-AF is a surface-mount wall enclosure designed to house and protect network, data, or low-voltage equipment in structured cabling and telecom installations. Measuring 48 inches high by 24 inches wide by 32 inches deep, it provides 25 rack units of usable mounting space. The enclosure mounts directly to a wall surface, keeping equipment accessible while conserving floor space. It is suited for installation by low-voltage technicians, network installers, and electricians working in commercial or industrial environments where rack-based equipment must be wall-mounted and secured.
This enclosure fits a wide range of wall-mount applications including patch panels, switches, cable management, and other rack-mounted components. Its 25 RU capacity accommodates mid-density deployments typical of telecom rooms, server closets, and data distribution points. The 32-inch depth supports deeper equipment such as 1U and 2U switches or patch management hardware. It is sold as an individual unit and is appropriate for both new installations and retrofit projects where floor space is at a premium.
Designed as an OEM-style surface-mount wall enclosure for use with standard 19-inch rack-mount equipment in low-voltage, network, and telecom applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage technician or licensed electrician in accordance with applicable local codes and TIA-569 pathway and spaces standards. Before mounting, verify that the wall structure can support the fully loaded weight of the enclosure and its equipment. Power down and de-energize all circuits within the enclosure before servicing installed equipment. Use appropriate fasteners rated for the wall substrate, whether wood framing, metal stud, or concrete.
