The GOODMAN alxs5ba2410 is a 2-ton, single-stage outdoor condensing unit designed for split-system cooling applications. It delivers a 15.2 SEER2 efficiency rating using R-32 refrigerant, meeting DOE regional compliance requirements for all U.S. regions. The unit features a scroll compressor, top-discharge cabinet design, and operates on 208/230-volt single-phase power at 60 Hz. Manufactured in the United States, this unit is installed by licensed HVAC technicians as the outdoor component of a ducted split-system air conditioner. It is well suited for residential and light commercial projects where a non-communicating, straightforward cooling-only system is specified.
The alxs5ba2410 is intended for use in residential, multi-family, and light commercial cooling-only applications. It belongs to the ALXS5B series and is configured for top-discharge airflow, making it compatible with standard outdoor installation pads and clearance requirements. The unit is pre-charged with 65 oz of R-32 refrigerant for a 15-foot line set and supports standard line set runs up to 79 feet horizontal and 50 feet vertical. The cooling operation range spans 55 degrees F to 115 degrees F ambient dry-bulb, covering a wide range of regional climate conditions.
Designed as an OEM outdoor condensing unit for non-communicating split-system cooling configurations. Compatible accessory and component part references noted in product data include 0130M00106, 0130R00000S, 0161R00128, 0163R00006, ABK-20, ASC01A, CSR-U-1, FSK01A, LAKT01, and LSK02A. Consult Goodman engineering documentation to confirm indoor unit and line set compatibility before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding the appropriate EPA Section 608 certification for R-32 refrigerant handling. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before beginning any service work, and shut off the disconnect at the unit. Verify that wire gauge, overcurrent protection (20A max), and minimum circuit ampacity (13.8A) comply with NEC requirements and local codes before energizing. Do not exceed the maximum line set length of 79 feet or the maximum vertical run of 50 feet without consulting manufacturer guidelines for refrigerant charge adjustment.
