The Goodman alxs3nn6010 is a 5-ton, single-stage outdoor condensing unit rated at 60,000 BTU/h nominal cooling capacity and 13.4 SEER2 efficiency. It operates on R-32 refrigerant and is designed for cooling-only applications in North region installations per DOE regional compliance guidelines. The scroll compressor runs on a single-speed motor with a top-discharge configuration, drawing 23.9 amps at 208/230 volts, 60 Hz, single phase. This unit is manufactured in the United States and targets residential and light commercial new-construction or replacement installs performed by licensed HVAC technicians.
The alxs3nn6010 is intended for split-system cooling-only configurations in North region climates. It operates within a cooling range of 55 degrees F to 115 degrees F ambient, making it suitable for a wide range of seasonal conditions. The unit ships pre-charged with 91 oz of R-32 refrigerant and supports a standard line set up to 200 ft in length with up to 79 ft of vertical rise. It is non-communicating, connecting to conventional single-stage air handlers or fan coils without a proprietary control bus.
Designed as a cooling-only outdoor condensing unit for split-system HVAC configurations meeting DOE North region requirements. Compatible accessory and component references from the manufacturer include: 0130R00000S, ABK-20, ASC01A, CSR-U-1, FSK01A, and LSK02A. Verify indoor unit compatibility and R-32 refrigerant handling certification before installation.
Installation must be performed by an EPA 608-certified HVAC technician with appropriate R-32 handling qualifications, as R-32 is an A2L mildly flammable refrigerant subject to specific handling and ventilation requirements. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before connecting refrigerant lines or making any electrical terminations; minimum circuit ampacity is 31.1 A with a maximum overcurrent protection of 50 A. Follow local mechanical and electrical codes, including NEC requirements for disconnect placement and wire sizing. Pre-charged line length is 15 ft; apply the rated additional charge per foot for any line set length beyond that value.
