The GLOBAL INDUSTRIAL B3196830 is a bolted teardrop pallet rack starter unit built for heavy-duty storage in warehouses, retail stockrooms, and manufacturing facilities. The unit measures 120 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 96 inches tall and carries a 5,630 lb per-shelf capacity with a 33,000 lb total rated capacity. Uprights are fabricated from 13-gauge steel and beams from 16-gauge steel, providing a high-strength structural assembly. The bolted teardrop upright frames ship knocked-down for optimized freight and arrive partially assembled for straightforward setup on site.
This starter rack is suited for industrial and commercial storage applications where high load ratings and configurable shelving are required. The 1-5/8 inch step beam design accommodates cross bars and decking, and upright height adjusts in 2-inch increments to match varying pallet or product heights. The unit is appropriate for initial rack bay installations and pairs with compatible add-on bays to expand a run. Typical environments include distribution centers, manufacturing plants, and large-format retail storage areas.
Designed as a starter bay unit in the Global Industrial bolted teardrop pallet rack system. Compatible add-on bay components and accessories should share the teardrop upright profile to ensure proper beam engagement.
Installation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with pallet rack assembly and applicable local building codes. Power down any nearby powered equipment and clear the installation zone before beginning assembly. Pre-punched footplates must be anchored to the floor per applicable structural requirements. If seismic conditions apply, capacities must be verified by a licensed seismic engineer prior to installation; the installer and facility owner are responsible for all permits, engineering review, and code compliance.
