The GLOBAL INDUSTRIAL B3149640 is a 3-shelf ESD (electrostatic discharge) wire shelving starter unit designed for storing electronics, circuit boards, and other static-sensitive materials. Built on four chrome-over-nickel electroplated posts, the open-wire shelf design promotes air and light circulation while minimizing dust accumulation. The unit measures 30 inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 54 inches tall, and weighs 38.6 pounds. Each shelf adjusts without tools at 1-inch increments, and shelf clips snap onto the posts so the shelf collar slides over for a secure, rattle-free fit. A grounding chain is included to safely dissipate static charge.
This starter unit is suited for electronics assembly areas, repair benches, server rooms, and cleanroom-adjacent storage environments in both commercial and industrial facilities. The ESD-rated construction makes it appropriate wherever static-sensitive components require controlled handling. The chrome finish resists corrosion and meets a one-year limited warranty against rust and corrosion. Electricians, electronics technicians, and facilities maintenance staff are the typical installers. The unit arrives with all hardware needed to build out a standalone shelving run or serve as the anchor unit in an extended shelving configuration.
Designed as an OEM-style starter unit compatible with standard Nexel ESD wire shelving systems; intended to anchor or extend chrome ESD wire shelving configurations using matching Nexel-compatible add-on units and accessories.
Assembly requires no tools for shelf placement; post and foot hardware should be hand-tightened and checked for level before loading shelves. Connect the included grounding chain to a verified earth ground point per applicable electrical safety practices to ensure effective static dissipation. Four adjustable leveling feet compensate for uneven floors and should be set before final shelf positioning. Do not exceed the rated load capacity per shelf as specified by the manufacturer.
