The GLOBAL INDUSTRIAL 331489N is a four-shelf vented plastic mat shelving unit starter designed for commercial and industrial storage applications. Built on a Nexelon-finish steel frame with polymer composition shelf mats, this unit delivers a smooth, crevice-free, open-grid surface that resists denting, chipping, rusting, and corrosion. The Nex Gard anti-microbial agent is integrated into the epoxy coating to inhibit bacteria, mold, and mildew that cause odors and product degradation. Shelves adjust at 1-inch increments without tools, and snap-on sleeves secure each shelf to the posts. Installation is straightforward for facility maintenance staff, warehouse personnel, or any trade professional configuring storage systems.
This shelving starter unit is suited for wet or dry environments including food service prep areas, commercial kitchens, healthcare storage rooms, and general warehouse or inventory spaces. The open-sided design allows complete access from all four sides and promotes air and light circulation while minimizing dust accumulation. NSF approval makes it appropriate for food-contact and sanitary environments. The unit ships as a complete starter kit including four posts with leveling feet, four plastic mat shelves, and the snap-on sleeves needed for assembly.
Designed as a starter shelving unit compatible with the Nexelite modular shelving system, allowing future add-on units to be joined to this configuration.
Assembly requires no tools for shelf adjustment; snap-on sleeves secure each shelf to the posts at the desired 1-inch increment position. Leveling feet should be adjusted on a flat surface before loading. In food service or healthcare environments, verify that placement meets applicable local health and safety codes. Inspect all post connections and leveling feet before placing load on the unit.
