The GLASFLOSS GDS_16X25X2 is a 2-inch disposable fiberglass panel air filter designed for forced-air HVAC systems in commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Measuring 16 inches wide by 25 inches tall by 2 inches deep, it delivers an airflow capacity of 500 FPM with an initial resistance of 0.28 inches WC and a final resistance of 0.50 inches WC. The filter is built around a heavy-duty one-piece craft-board frame with a thermally bonded, progressively dense fiberglass media pack. A reinforced double-strut internal construction maintains media integrity under sustained airflow and pressure. Licensed HVAC technicians and building maintenance personnel are the primary installers. Energy Star rated and made in the USA.
The GDS_16X25X2 is suited for air handling units, fan coil units, and residential forced-air furnaces or air handlers requiring a standard 16 x 25 x 2 inch filter slot. Its double-strut frame design provides approximately 10 percent greater open media area than traditional metal-grid panel filters, which improves dust-holding capacity without a significant increase in static pressure. The one-piece craft-board box frame eliminates exposed metal edges, making handling and disposal safer. The reduced carton weight also makes stocking and bulk handling more practical for service contractors managing multiple accounts.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement panel filter for any forced-air HVAC system accepting a 16 x 25 x 2 inch filter. Rated for commercial, industrial, and residential applications per UL 900, HARDI, and NAFA standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or trained maintenance personnel. Always shut down the air handling unit and set the thermostat to the off position before removing or installing the filter. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the system airflow direction before seating the filter. Dispose of the used filter in accordance with local waste regulations and inspect the filter rack or housing for debris before inserting the replacement.
