The GIBRALTAR S30E is a heavy-duty sliding arm bar clamp built for demanding metalworking, fabrication, and industrial assembly applications. Part of the S-E series, it delivers 2,200 pounds of clamping pressure through an alloy steel spindle driven by a T-handle, giving operators firm, repeatable grip on workpieces. The forged steel frame and forged steel pad provide the structural rigidity needed to hold tolerances under load. A nickel finish adds corrosion resistance for shop environments. At 2.09 pounds, it is solid without being unwieldy, and the 27 mm x 13 mm rail size accommodates standard bar clamp setups. Machinists, fabricators, and tool-and-die tradespeople are the primary users of this clamp.
The S30E suits applications where controlled, high-force clamping is required during welding fixturing, metal fabrication, woodworking jig setups, and general assembly operations. The 4-3/4 inch throat depth provides clearance for workpieces of moderate thickness or width, making it practical for edge clamping, face clamping, and holding parts in position while fasteners or welds are applied. The sliding arm design allows quick jaw adjustment before final tightening, reducing setup time on repetitive operations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct addition compatible with S-E series sliding arm bar clamp setups using a 27 mm x 13 mm rail configuration.
This clamp is installed and used by machinists, metal fabricators, and general tradespeople in shop environments. Before applying clamping pressure, verify that the workpiece and mating surfaces are clean and free of debris to prevent pad slip or workpiece damage. Do not exceed the rated 2,200 lb clamping pressure, as overloading the spindle or frame can cause permanent deformation. Inspect the spindle threads and sliding arm for wear or damage before each use.
