The GIBRALTAR PZP14611GB is a fixed lifting eye bolt with a shoulder base, designed for rigging and lifting applications in industrial, construction, and mechanical service environments. It carries a 480-pound lifting capacity and is threaded 1/4-20, fully threaded along a 1-inch shank. The body is machined from Grade 1030 steel and finished with a zinc plating for corrosion resistance. The shoulder base provides a stable seating surface against the mounting material, keeping the eye aligned with the load axis. Riggers, millwrights, and maintenance technicians are the typical installers.
This eye bolt is used wherever a fixed, non-swivel lift point is needed on light machinery, enclosures, panels, or structural assemblies. The 1/4-20 thread fits standard tapped holes in steel plates, frames, and equipment housings. With a 1-inch thread length and fully threaded shank, it provides full thread engagement in material up to 1 inch thick. The shoulder contacts the mounting surface to limit insertion depth and reduce side-load stress on the threads. Suitable for vertical in-line lifting in residential and light commercial maintenance settings.
Designed as an OEM-style fixed shoulder eye bolt for use in standard 1/4-20 tapped holes in steel equipment frames, enclosures, and structural assemblies requiring a fixed vertical lift point.
Installation is performed by riggers, maintenance technicians, or millwrights familiar with rated lifting hardware. Thread the bolt fully into a clean, properly tapped 1/4-20 hole until the shoulder seats flush against the mounting surface. Do not use this bolt for angular or side loads beyond what the rated capacity allows under vertical in-line lift conditions. Always inspect threads and the eye for deformation before each use, and follow applicable ASME B30 rigging standards for load testing and inspection intervals.
