The GIBRALTAR P13682GB is a fixed lifting eye bolt designed for overhead lifting and rigging applications in industrial, construction, and maintenance environments. Built from Grade 1030 steel, this eye bolt carries a rated lifting capacity of 7,000 pounds and features a fully threaded shank measuring 2.25 inches in length with a 7/8-9 thread size. The shoulderless design seats directly against the work surface and is intended for straight, in-line vertical loads. Installation and load-securing tasks are typically performed by millwrights, riggers, or maintenance mechanics following applicable rigging standards.
This eye bolt is suited for use in fabricated steel structures, machinery lifting points, and similar fixed-load applications where a threaded bolt anchor is required. The fully threaded 7/8-9 shank allows engagement across the full shank length of 2.25 inches, providing secure thread purchase in adequately thick material. It is appropriate for residential, commercial, and light industrial rigging setups that require a reliable, fixed-position anchor point. No swivel or pivot action is provided, so load alignment must be strictly vertical to rated capacity.
Designed as an OEM-style fixed lifting eye bolt for use in any application requiring a 7/8-9 threaded anchor point with a minimum 7,000 lb vertical lifting capacity in Grade 1030 steel.
Installation should be performed by qualified riggers or maintenance personnel familiar with applicable rigging standards such as ASME B30.26. Ensure the receiving material provides sufficient thread depth and structural integrity to support the rated load before installing. Because this is a fixed eye bolt without a shoulder, loads must be applied in a straight vertical line — angular loading significantly reduces rated capacity and is not recommended without a shouldered or swivel-type eye bolt. Inspect threads and the eye for damage before each use and remove from service if deformation or wear is present.
