The GIBRALTAR P12343CUTGB is a fixed lifting eye bolt rated for 2,100 pounds of lifting capacity. It features a 1/2-13 threaded shank with partial threading and is manufactured from Grade 1030 steel with a zinc-plated finish for corrosion resistance. The eye bolt is designed without a shoulder, making it suited for straight-line vertical lifting loads. With a shank length of 2 inches and a thread length of 2 inches, this hardware fits a range of rigging and material-handling applications. It is installed by riggers, millwrights, maintenance technicians, and contractors working in industrial, commercial, and construction environments.
This fixed eye bolt is used wherever a secure, threaded anchor point is needed for vertical lifting or tie-down applications. Common install scenarios include attaching lifting slings or hooks to machinery, structural steel, wood beams, or fabricated assemblies. The without-shoulder design means the bolt should be used only for in-line axial loading and is not rated for angular lifts. It is appropriate for shop, field, and overhead rigging setups where a permanent or semi-permanent threaded anchor point is required.
Designed as a standard 1/2-13 threaded fixed lifting eye bolt for use with rigging hardware, lifting slings, hooks, and shackles rated at or above 2,100 lb in vertical lift applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified rigger or maintenance technician familiar with applicable rigging standards, including ASME B30.26 for rigging hardware. Before installation, ensure the receiving material is tapped to 1/2-13 specifications and can support the intended load. Because this is a without-shoulder eye bolt, it must be used only for axial, in-line vertical loads — angular loading is not permitted for this configuration. Always inspect threads and the eye for damage before each use and never exceed the rated lifting capacity.
