The GIBRALTAR GLH-565-G is a Type E gear lever arm fitted with a cylindrical phenolic knob, designed for use in mechanical positioning, adjustment, and clamping applications across industrial and commercial equipment. The arm features a stainless steel shaft measuring 0.3125 inches in diameter and 2.56 inches in length, paired with a phenolic cylindrical knob 0.83 inches in diameter and 2.36 inches in length. The threaded stem is 5/16-18 UNC with a thread engagement length of 0.43 inches, providing secure fastening into standard threaded inserts or tapped bores. The overall handle length is 4.92 inches. This lever arm is installed by mechanical technicians and machine service professionals working on equipment requiring manual adjustment or locking positions.
This lever arm is suited for use on machine tools, fixtures, jigs, industrial equipment panels, and general-purpose mechanical assemblies where a compact manual adjustment handle is needed. The stainless steel shaft resists corrosion in light wash-down or humid environments, while the phenolic knob provides a firm grip surface. At 0.1 pounds, the part adds minimal weight to any assembly. It is appropriate for both original equipment builds and field replacement of worn or damaged lever arms on existing machinery.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or OEM-style lever arm for industrial machinery, machine tools, and mechanical assemblies using a 5/16-18 UNC threaded mounting interface and a Type E gear lever arm configuration.
Installation is performed by mechanical technicians or maintenance personnel. De-energize and lock out any machinery before replacing or installing lever arms per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Thread the 5/16-18 stem into the receiving bore by hand first to confirm proper thread engagement before applying a wrench or driver. Avoid overtightening, which can crack the phenolic knob base or strip the threaded insert.
