The GIBRALTAR DCIM25-127 is a medium-duty die spring designed for use in stamping dies, injection molds, and industrial press tooling. It features a 1 inch hole diameter, a 0.5 inch rod diameter, and a 5 inch free length. The spring is wound from chromium alloy steel with a trapezoidal wire cross-section, which increases load capacity relative to round-wire designs at the same coil dimensions. The blue color coding identifies it as a medium-duty rating under both NAAMS and ISO 10243 standards. Maximum deflection load is 346 pounds, and maximum deflection is 2.13 inches. The spring rate is 163 pounds per inch. Weight is 0.39 pounds.
This die spring is suited for toolroom and production applications in metal stamping, plastic injection molding, and general industrial machinery where a controlled, repeatable spring force is required at medium-duty loads. It is appropriate for use wherever a NAAMS or ISO 10243 medium-duty blue-series die spring is specified. Machinists, toolmakers, and die maintenance technicians are the primary installers. The single-piece packaging makes it practical for spot replacements during scheduled die maintenance or unplanned press downtime.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for NAAMS and ISO 10243 medium-duty blue-series die springs with a 1 inch hole diameter, 0.5 inch rod diameter, and 5 inch free length. Confirm rod and hole clearances against the existing die set before installation.
Die springs are installed and replaced by qualified toolmakers or die maintenance technicians. Always relieve all press and die pressure and lock out the press before accessing any die components. Inspect the rod diameter and hole bore in the die set to confirm they fall within the rated clearances for this spring before seating. Do not compress the spring beyond the published maximum deflection value, as over-compression will shorten service life and may cause permanent set or failure.
