The GIBRALTAR DCIL16-76 is a light-duty die spring designed for use in stamping dies, molds, and precision tooling assemblies. It features a 0.625-inch hole diameter, an 11/32-inch (0.3438-inch) rod diameter, and a 3-inch free length. The trapezoidal wire shape delivers consistent spring rates and predictable compression behavior across the working stroke. With a spring rate of 57.0 pounds per inch and a maximum deflection load of 100 pounds, this spring provides controlled resistance through its full 1.76-inch deflection range. It is manufactured from chromium alloy steel and color-coded green to indicate light-duty classification. Licensed HVAC technicians, machinists, tool-and-die makers, and maintenance professionals install this type of spring in high-cycle tooling applications.
The DCIL16-76 is suited for stamping dies, injection molds, punch and die assemblies, and other precision tooling where repeatable spring force and compact geometry are required. The light-duty rating makes it appropriate for applications requiring lower load forces with extended travel. It conforms to NAAMS and ISO 10243 standards, making it interchangeable within metric and North American tooling programs. Package quantity is 1 piece per unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit die spring for light-duty stamping die and precision tooling assemblies conforming to NAAMS and ISO 10243 dimensional standards.
Die springs of this type are installed by tool-and-die makers or maintenance machinists during die maintenance or new tooling builds. Always relieve all stored mechanical energy and lock out press equipment before removing or installing die springs. Inspect the mating rod and hole dimensions against the specified 0.3438-inch rod diameter and 0.625-inch hole diameter to confirm proper fit before assembly. Do not compress the spring beyond its maximum deflection of 1.76 inches, as over-compression can cause permanent set or fatigue failure.
