The GIBRALTAR DCIH32-102 is a heavy-duty die spring engineered for high-load tooling and stamping applications. It features a 1.25-inch hole diameter, a 0.625-inch rod diameter, and a free length of 4 inches. Wound from chromium alloy steel with a trapezoidal wire cross-section, this spring delivers a maximum deflection load of 948 pounds and a maximum deflection of 1.34 inches. The red color coding follows the ISO 10243 international standard for heavy-duty classification, making it easy to identify during tool maintenance and die changeovers. A spring rate of 706 pounds per inch provides consistent, predictable force throughout the compression cycle.
This die spring is suited for use in metal stamping dies, punch press tooling, injection molds, and other industrial die applications requiring reliable, repeatable spring force. It is commonly installed by tool and die makers, press operators, and maintenance technicians working in manufacturing and fabrication environments. The 4-inch free length and heavy-duty rating make it appropriate for applications where significant load resistance and controlled deflection are critical to tooling performance.
Designed as a standard heavy-duty die spring replacement conforming to NAAMS and ISO 10243 specifications, suitable for tooling applications requiring a 1.25-inch hole diameter, 0.625-inch rod diameter, and 4-inch free length.
Die spring installation and replacement should be performed by qualified tool and die technicians with the press or tooling system fully de-energized and locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Inspect the rod and bore dimensions for proper clearance before installation to prevent binding or premature spring failure. Do not exceed the rated maximum deflection of 1.34 inches during operation. Springs showing visible deformation, cracking, or color change should be replaced immediately.
