The GIBRALTAR BE-1054 is a die mold ejector blade designed for use in injection mold tooling and die casting operations. Ejector blades are precision-ground flat pins used to push molded parts out of the cavity after each cycle. This blade measures 0.046 inches in thickness and 0.234 inches in width, with a length of 10.5 inches, making it suited for slots and rectangular ejector holes where round ejector pins cannot provide adequate contact. Mold makers, tool and die technicians, and moldroom machinists are the primary installers and users of this component.
This ejector blade is intended for use in plastic injection molds and die casting dies where part geometry or gate placement requires a flat, blade-style ejector rather than a cylindrical pin. It fits into machined blade pockets within the ejector plate assembly and works in conjunction with the ejector retainer plate system. Applications include both production molds and prototype tooling across a range of part sizes and materials.

Ejector blades are installed and serviced by tool and die technicians or mold makers working on the bench or in a moldroom environment. The mold must be fully cooled and all hydraulic or mechanical press pressure must be relieved before disassembling the ejector plate assembly. Blades should be inspected for proper length, straightness, and fit within the blade pocket before installation. Never force a blade into an undersized pocket, as this can cause galling or cracking of the mold steel.
