The GIBRALTAR BE-1002 is a precision-ground die mold ejector blade engineered for use in injection mold tooling and die casting applications. This blade is ground to a thickness of 0.0200 inches and a width of 0.0460 inches, making it suited for tight-tolerance ejector slots where standard round pins cannot be used. Ejector blades transmit knockout force from the ejector plate to the molded part, allowing clean part release from narrow or elongated cavities. Mold makers and toolroom technicians specify this part when dealing with thin-wall or blade-requiring mold geometry.
This ejector blade is used in injection molds for plastics manufacturing and in die casting tooling across industrial, automotive, and consumer goods production environments. It is typically installed in the ejector assembly of a two-plate or three-plate mold where flat ejection geometry is required. The blade length of 6.5 inches accommodates a range of mold stack heights. It is sold individually, making it practical for single-blade replacement or prototype tooling builds.
Designed as a standard-format replacement ejector blade for injection mold and die casting tooling assemblies requiring a 0.0200 inch thick by 0.0460 inch wide blade profile.
Ejector blades are installed and serviced by mold makers or tool and die technicians. Before replacing an ejector blade, relieve all press tonnage, lock out the press, and ensure the mold is fully cooled. Blade fit should be verified against the ejector slot for smooth, binding-free travel before closing the mold. Do not force an oversized blade into a slot, as this can damage the blade pocket or crack the core insert.
