The GIBRALTAR 75283309 is a jig foot designed for use in fixturing, workholding, and positioning applications common in machining and fabrication environments. It features a 5/16-18 threaded shank for secure installation into threaded mounting holes, an outer diameter of 7/8 inch, and a height of 1-1/8 inches. Constructed from low carbon steel with a black oxide finish, it provides corrosion resistance and a clean appearance suited to shop environments. A cap screw is included. Machinists, toolmakers, and fabricators install these components when building jigs, fixtures, and assembly aids that require precise, adjustable support points.
This jig foot is a standard component in toolroom and production fixture builds. It is appropriate for use on drill jigs, welding fixtures, inspection fixtures, and similar workholding setups. The 5/16-18 thread size is widely compatible with standard fixture plates and tooling blocks used in light to medium-duty machining operations. It is sold individually, making it practical for replacement or small-quantity fixture repairs as well as new builds.
Designed as a standard replacement or new-build jig foot for fixturing and workholding assemblies using 5/16-18 threaded mounting points.
Installation is performed by toolmakers, machinists, or maintenance technicians. Thread the jig foot into the fixture plate or base component by hand first, then tighten using the included cap screw and appropriate hand tools. Ensure the mounting hole threads are clean and undamaged before installation to prevent galling. Do not overtighten, as low carbon steel threads can be susceptible to damage under excessive torque.
