The GIBRALTAR 67093G is a threaded spring plunger designed for indexing, positioning, and light-duty locking applications in mechanical assemblies. The plunger body is machined from steel with a black finish and features a Delrin nose for low-friction, non-marring contact. The M12 x 1.75 thread installs into a tapped hole with a 32 mm thread length. Plunger projection measures 6 mm with a maximum plunger diameter of 6.3 mm. Initial end force is 2.7 pounds and final end force is 9.24 pounds, making this suitable for light positioning work where repeatable spring resistance is required. Machinists, toolmakers, and maintenance technicians typically install this type of hardware.
This spring plunger is used in jigs, fixtures, machine tool components, and industrial equipment where a spring-loaded detent or positioning stop is needed. The steel body provides durability in metal fabrication and production environments. The Delrin nose reduces wear on mating surfaces and is suitable for assemblies where metal-to-metal contact must be avoided. This is a single-piece, individual-package component sized for standard M12 x 1.75 tapped bores.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new-installation spring plunger for any jig, fixture, or mechanical assembly with a tapped M12 x 1.75 bore requiring a 32 mm thread engagement depth.
Install into a clean, properly tapped M12 x 1.75 through or blind hole using a 6 mm hex key. Ensure the bore depth accommodates the full 32 mm thread length before installation. De-energize or lock out any machine before servicing or replacing spring plungers in active assemblies. Do not overtighten — apply only enough torque to seat the plunger body flush or to the desired depth without compressing the spring mechanism.
