The GIBRALTAR 60652G is an unequal double threaded stud designed for mechanical fastening applications requiring threaded connections on both ends of a single fastener body. This carbon steel stud features a black oxide finish and an M16 x 2 thread profile with an overall length of 110 mm. One end carries a long thread length of 47 mm while the opposite end carries a short thread length of 18 mm, making each end suitable for different mating depths. Rated at Thread Fit Class 50 and Material Grade 5, this stud is a dependable choice for structural and mechanical assembly work performed by maintenance technicians, millwrights, and industrial tradespeople.
This stud is suited for industrial and commercial mechanical assemblies where a fixed stud is threaded permanently into one component while the second threaded end accepts a nut or mating part. Common applications include equipment mounting, flange connections, and machinery assembly where the unequal thread lengths allow differentiated engagement in the base material versus the fastened component. The black oxide finish provides moderate corrosion resistance in dry indoor environments. Sold individually per package with a minimum order quantity of 2.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use component for mechanical assemblies requiring M16 x 2 metric double threaded studs with an unequal thread configuration.
Installation is typically performed by millwrights, maintenance mechanics, or industrial technicians using standard metric hand tools and torque wrenches. Power down or de-energize any equipment before servicing fasteners on live machinery. Thread the long end into the tapped base component first, then secure the mating part with a nut on the short end. Follow applicable equipment manufacturer torque specifications and any relevant ASME or industry fastener standards for the assembly being serviced.
