The GIBRALTAR 26955 1 is a fixed lifting eye bolt rated for 3,200 pounds of lifting capacity. It is designed without a shoulder, features a 9/16-12 thread, and is fully threaded along the entire 4.5-inch shank length. Constructed from C-1035 grade steel with a hot dipped galvanized finish, this eye bolt delivers corrosion resistance suited for industrial and outdoor rigging environments. Licensed riggers, millwrights, and maintenance technicians are the primary installers. The 1-9/32-inch inside eye diameter accommodates standard hooks and shackles used in overhead lifting setups.
This eye bolt is used in overhead lifting, rigging, and material handling applications where a fixed, shoulderless configuration is appropriate. Without a shoulder, axial straight-line loading is the correct application. It is well suited for installation into structural steel, fabricated frames, and heavy equipment where threaded engagement over the full 4.5-inch shank provides secure retention. This part is intended for straight vertical pulls only; angular loading on a shoulderless eye bolt requires derating per ASME B30.26 and applicable rigging standards.
Designed as a standard shoulderless fixed lifting eye bolt for use in structural, industrial, and mechanical rigging applications requiring a 9/16-12 threaded fastener with a 3,200 lb rated capacity.
Installation should be performed by a qualified rigger or maintenance technician following ASME B30.26 and applicable OSHA rigging regulations. Ensure the mating threaded hole provides full thread engagement across the entire shank length before applying load. Because this eye bolt has no shoulder, it must be loaded in straight vertical alignment only — side or angular loading on a shoulderless eye bolt significantly reduces safe working load and must be avoided. Inspect the eye, shank, and threads for deformation or corrosion before each use.
