The GIBRALTAR 26830 1 is a heavy-duty lifting eye bolt designed for overhead lifting, rigging, and load-securing applications in industrial and commercial environments. Rated at 7,000 lb capacity, it features a 7/8-9 thread size with a fully threaded, 4-inch shank for deep engagement into structural members or lifting fixtures. Manufactured from C-1035 grade steel with a zinc-plated finish for corrosion resistance, this shoulderless eye bolt is suited for in-line axial loading. Rigging professionals, millwrights, and maintenance mechanics are the typical end users. The 1-11/16 inch eye inside diameter accommodates standard shackles and hooks used in common rigging configurations.
This eye bolt is appropriate for use in manufacturing facilities, warehouses, construction sites, and maintenance operations where a reliable, threaded lifting point is required. The without-shoulder design means it is intended for vertical, in-line pulls only — angular loading is not recommended for shoulderless configurations. It is installed into tapped holes or used with a hex nut and washer against a structural surface. Applications include machinery lifting, equipment rigging, and anchor-point installation in steel or heavy timber structures.
Designed as a standard shoulderless lifting eye bolt for use in tapped steel, cast iron, or structural members accepting a 7/8-9 thread. Intended for vertical in-line load applications only.
Installation should be performed by qualified rigging or maintenance personnel following ASME B30.26 and applicable OSHA rigging standards. Thread the bolt fully into the receiving hole until the eye base seats flush against the work surface, and ensure full thread engagement equals at least 1.5 times the bolt diameter. Never use a shoulderless eye bolt for angular or side loading — use a shoulder-style eye bolt or swivel hoist ring for off-axis lifts. Inspect threads and the eye for cracks, deformation, or corrosion before each use and remove from service if any defects are found.
