The GIBRALTAR 26420 4 is a fixed lifting eye bolt with a shouldered design, rated for 2,000 lb lifting capacity and threaded 7/16-14 along a fully threaded 4-inch shank. Manufactured from C-1035 steel with a hot dipped galvanized finish, this eye bolt is built for corrosion resistance in demanding environments. The shoulder bearing surface distributes load against the mounting surface, which is a requirement for safe vertical and angular lifting applications. Rigging professionals, millwrights, and maintenance trades use this type of hardware to create secure lift points on machinery, structural steel, and equipment during installation or service.
This eye bolt is suited for use in industrial, commercial, and heavy mechanical applications where a permanent or semi-permanent lift point is needed. The fully threaded shank allows the fastener to engage full thread depth through varying material thicknesses up to 4 inches. The hot dipped galvanized coating makes it a practical choice for outdoor or wet environments where bare steel would corrode. Installation in threaded housings, tapped holes, or with a nut and washer on through-bolt applications are all common configurations for this style of shoulder eye bolt.
Designed as a standard fixed shoulder eye bolt for use in tapped holes or through-bolt configurations accepting a 7/16-14 UNC threaded fastener in industrial and mechanical rigging setups.
Shoulder eye bolts should be installed by qualified rigging or maintenance personnel following applicable ASME B30.26 standards for rigging hardware. Thread the bolt fully until the shoulder seats flush and firmly against the mounting surface before applying any load. Never side-load a fixed eye bolt beyond its rated angular capacity, and do not use an impact driver during installation as this can damage the thread engagement. Inspect threads, the eye, and the shoulder contact surface for damage before each use.
