The GIBRALTAR 26141 8 is a fixed lifting eye bolt rated for 21,000 pounds of lifting capacity. Manufactured from Grade C-1035 forged steel with a hot-dipped galvanized finish, this eye bolt is built for heavy-duty rigging and lifting applications. The 1-1/2-6 thread size runs fully threaded along the 3-1/2 inch shank, providing maximum thread engagement at the attachment point. The shoulderless design is intended for straight vertical pulls only. Riggers, ironworkers, and millwrights install this type of hardware in industrial, construction, and maintenance environments where reliable load-rated lifting points are required.
This eye bolt is suited for use in industrial plants, construction sites, and maintenance operations requiring a permanent or semi-permanent overhead lifting attachment. The fully threaded shank allows installation into tapped holes or through applications with a nut. The hot-dipped galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance for use in outdoor or high-moisture environments. It is appropriate for straight vertical lifts only - angular loading on a shoulderless eye bolt significantly reduces the rated capacity and is not recommended without proper engineering review.
Designed as a standard fixed lifting eye bolt for use in rigging, hoisting, and material handling applications requiring a 1-1/2-6 threaded attachment point with a 21,000 pound straight-pull rating.
Installation should be performed by a qualified rigger or tradesperson familiar with ASME B30.26 below-the-hook lifting device standards. Before installing, ensure the receiving material is properly tapped and rated to handle the applied load. Because this eye bolt is shoulderless, it must be used only for straight vertical lifts - never apply angular or side loads to a shoulderless eye bolt. Always inspect threads and the eye for damage before each use and de-rate or remove from service any hardware showing signs of deformation or corrosion.
