The GIBRALTAR 11731 9 is a fixed lifting eye bolt rated for 4,000 pounds of capacity, designed for overhead lifting and rigging applications in industrial, commercial, and construction environments. Built from Grade C-1035 forged steel, this bolt provides reliable tensile strength in demanding load-bearing situations. The 5/8-11 thread size and 3-inch fully threaded shank allow for secure fastening through structural members or mounting plates. This hardware is installed by millwrights, riggers, ironworkers, and maintenance mechanics where dependable vertical lift points are required.
This eye bolt is configured without a shoulder, which makes it suited for straight vertical lifting loads only. The 3-inch shank length and full threading along the entire shank provide flexibility in mounting thickness and hardware engagement. The eye measures 1-3/8 inches inside diameter and 2-1/2 inches outside diameter, accommodating standard shackles and hooks used in rigging setups. Typical applications include machinery lifting, load securing, and anchor point installation in manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and job sites.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use lifting hardware for applications requiring a 5/8-11 threaded fixed eye bolt without shoulder in standard inch-measurement rigging and lifting assemblies.
Installation should be performed by qualified riggers or mechanics familiar with ASME B30.26 rigging hardware standards. Because this eye bolt is a fixed, shoulderless design, it must be loaded only in the straight vertical (axial) direction - angular or side loading will significantly reduce safe working load and can cause failure. Ensure full thread engagement through the mounting surface before applying any load, and inspect threads and the eye for deformation or damage prior to each use. De-energize and secure any machinery before installing or removing lifting hardware on powered equipment.
