The GIBRALTAR 11691 6 is a fixed lifting eye bolt designed for vertical and inline load-bearing applications in industrial and construction environments. Manufactured from C-1035 grade forged steel, this fully threaded, shoulderless eye bolt provides a 2,600 lb lifting capacity with a 1/2-13 thread size and a 3-inch shank length. The forged construction delivers the structural integrity required for rigging, hoisting, and anchoring tasks. Millwrights, riggers, ironworkers, and maintenance technicians install this type of hardware as part of overhead lifting assemblies, machinery anchoring setups, and load-securing systems where a reliable threaded attachment point is required.
This eye bolt is suited for use in industrial plants, fabrication shops, warehouses, and construction sites. It installs into tapped holes or through clearance holes with a matching nut, providing a fixed attachment point for hooks, shackles, wire rope, or chain. The fully threaded shank allows for installation depth adjustment and secure clamping against the mating surface. Applications include machinery rigging, structural steel erection, and equipment relocation in both indoor and outdoor settings.
Designed as a standard fixed eye bolt for use with 1/2-13 UNC tapped holes or through-bolt assemblies in rigging, hoisting, and load-anchoring applications where a shoulderless configuration is specified.
Installation should be performed by qualified riggers or maintenance personnel following applicable ASME B30.26 rigging hardware standards. The fixed shoulderless design is rated for inline vertical loading only — angular loading significantly reduces working load capacity and requires a shoulder-style or swivel eye bolt. Ensure the mating thread is clean and undamaged before installation, and torque the eye bolt fully seated against the bearing surface. Never exceed the rated lifting capacity, and inspect the eye and shank for deformation or cracks before each use.
