The GIBRALTAR 110952 is a manual machine vise designed for secure workpiece clamping on milling machines, drill presses, and similar machine tools. It features a 4-inch jaw width, a 3-way angle orientation, and a swivel base that allows repositioning of the workpiece without removing the vise from the table. Built from cast iron, it provides the rigidity and vibration damping required for accurate machining operations. With an overall length of 20 inches and an overall height of 7.28 inches, this vise is suited for light industrial and production shop applications. It is a single-station unit and is operated manually with no power assist.
This vise is a fit for machine shops, toolrooms, and maintenance facilities where versatile workholding is needed. The 3-way angle capability allows the jaws to be tilted and rotated to grip angled or compound-angle workpieces, reducing setup time on complex parts. A 1.5-inch throat depth accommodates a range of workpiece profiles. It is typically installed by machinists or tool and die tradespeople working with vertical milling machines or drill press tables requiring repeatable, adjustable fixturing.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit machine vise for standard T-slot milling machine tables and drill press tables accepting a 20-inch overall-length swivel-base vise. Model number E3W.
Installation is performed by a machinist or qualified tradesperson. Before mounting, ensure the machine table is powered down and the spindle is fully stopped. Secure the vise to the machine table using appropriate T-slot bolts and a torque wrench, verifying alignment with a dial indicator before final tightening. Confirm the swivel base lock is fully engaged before initiating any cutting operation.
