The GEXPRO 41983 is a 1-inch Schedule 40 PVC 45-degree elbow fitting used to change flow direction in pressurized and non-pressurized piping systems. Molded from rigid PVC, this fitting delivers corrosion resistance and long service life in wet environments. The 45-degree angle provides a gradual directional change well suited for drainage, irrigation, and low-pressure supply lines. Installation requires solvent cement applied to both elbow sockets before joining. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in residential and light commercial applications where a smooth directional transition is needed.
This elbow is used in Schedule 40 PVC piping systems commonly found in residential plumbing, irrigation, pool and spa circulation, and light commercial drainage runs. The gray color is standard for Schedule 40 PVC and is consistent with typical above-ground and below-slab piping installations. Solvent-weld socket ends accept standard 1-inch Schedule 40 PVC pipe cut to length on the job.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement fitting compatible with 1-inch Schedule 40 PVC piping systems in residential and light commercial plumbing, irrigation, and pool or spa applications.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into any existing piping. Clean and dry both the pipe end and the elbow socket before applying solvent cement, and allow adequate cure time before restoring flow. Do not apply heat or use threaded mechanical connections on solvent-weld socket ends.
