The GENESIS CABLE 50031108 is an RG6 coaxial cable with copper-clad steel (CCS) center conductor and dual shielding, packaged in a 1000-foot pull box. Designed for CATV signal distribution, this cable carries broadband video and data signals in residential and light commercial wiring applications. The dual-shield construction reduces interference and signal loss across the cable run. Installers pull this cable through walls, attics, and conduit to connect cable television drops, satellite feeds, and antenna distribution systems.
This RG6 cable is suited for CATV installations where a dual-shielded, CCS-conductor cable is specified. Common applications include cable TV drops from a distribution point to individual outlets, antenna feed lines, and broadband coaxial runs in residential and multi-dwelling unit (MDU) wiring. The 1000-foot box format is standard for rough-in work where larger runs are needed across a structure.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation coaxial cable for CATV, antenna, and broadband distribution systems requiring RG6 dual-shield specification.
Installation is typically performed by licensed low-voltage or communications technicians in accordance with local codes and NEC Article 820 for community antenna television and radio distribution system cables. Terminate each end with properly crimped or compression-style F-connectors rated for RG6. Avoid sharp bends below the cable minimum bend radius, and keep coaxial runs separated from high-voltage wiring to prevent interference. Do not splice the center conductor without appropriate barrel connectors rated for the frequency range in use.
