Solid conductor construction provides stable, low-resistance signal paths required in supervised fire alarm circuits. The red jacket color follows standard industry convention for fire alarm wiring, making circuit identification straightforward during installation and inspection. This cable ships on a 1,000-foot reel, supplying enough footage for mid- to large-scale commercial or residential fire alarm riser runs in a single pull.
This cable is suited for riser installations in commercial buildings, multi-story residential structures, and institutional facilities where fire alarm signal circuits must pass vertically between floors. FPLR-rated cable is listed to limit fire spread within the riser, meeting the requirements for riser applications without requiring conduit in many jurisdictions. Licensed fire alarm contractors and low-voltage electricians are the primary installers.
