The GENESIS CABLE 43111101 is a 16 AWG, 2-conductor solid FPLR-rated fire alarm cable supplied in a 1000-foot box. FPLR (Fire Power Limited Riser) rating designates this cable for use in riser applications where the cable must resist flame spread between floors. The solid conductor construction supports reliable, low-resistance signal transmission in fire detection and notification circuits. This cable ships in white jacket and is a standard choice for licensed fire alarm technicians and electrical contractors working on new construction or system expansion projects.
This cable is used in commercial and residential fire alarm systems, including initiating device circuits (IDC) and signaling line circuits (SLC) wired to pull stations, smoke detectors, heat detectors, and notification appliances. The riser rating makes it appropriate for vertical runs through plenum-free riser shafts. Its solid conductor configuration is well suited to terminal-block and screw-type connections common in fire alarm control panel wiring.
Designed as an FPLR-rated fire alarm cable for use in riser-rated fire detection and notification system wiring applications per NEC Article 760 requirements.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician or fire alarm technician in compliance with NEC Article 760 and applicable local fire codes. De-energize the fire alarm control panel and follow lockout procedures before making any connections. FPLR cable is rated for riser use only and must not be substituted for FPLP-rated plenum cable in air-handling spaces. Support and secure cable runs at intervals required by the authority having jurisdiction.
