Genesis Cable 21151101 18/4 Stranded Riser Cable 1000 Ft

Product Description

The GENESIS CABLE 21151101 is an 18 AWG 4-conductor stranded riser-rated security cable supplied in a 1000-foot pull box. Constructed for unshielded low-voltage signal and control wiring, this cable is suited for alarm panels, access control systems, and other security installations that require in-wall or between-floor routing. The stranded conductor construction provides flexibility during pulls through conduit or stud cavities. The white jacket offers easy identification in security and low-voltage rough-in work.

This cable is designed for commercial and residential security system wiring where a riser fire rating is required. Typical applications include connecting control panels to sensors, keypads, motion detectors, and other low-voltage security devices. The 1000-foot box format is standard for rough-in contractors running multiple home runs from a panel location. The unshielded design is appropriate for environments where EMI interference is not a concern.

Key Features

• 18 AWG stranded conductors for flexibility during installation pulls
• 4-conductor configuration suits common security and alarm wiring layouts
• Riser-rated jacket meets fire propagation requirements for between-floor routing
• Unshielded construction keeps terminations simple and straightforward
• White jacket finish standard for low-voltage security rough-in
• 1000-foot pull box minimizes handling and speeds job-site layout

Compatibility

Designed as a standard riser-rated low-voltage security cable for use with residential and commercial alarm panels, access control systems, and other 4-conductor low-voltage security device wiring applications.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or alarm contractor in accordance with applicable NEC Article 800 and local building codes governing communications and signaling cable. Verify the riser rating is acceptable for the installation environment before pulling cable through plenum spaces, as plenum-rated cable may be required in air-handling areas. Avoid sharp bends that exceed the cable minimum bend radius, and do not over-cinch cable ties, which can deform stranded conductors and affect signal integrity.
