Genesis Cable 21071101 22 Awg 8 Conductor Riser Cable

Product Description

The GENESIS CABLE 21071101 is a 22 AWG, 8-conductor stranded, unshielded riser-rated security cable supplied on a 1000-foot box spool in white. Designed for low-voltage security and alarm system wiring, this cable meets riser (CMR) flame-spread requirements for vertical runs between floors in commercial and residential buildings. The stranded conductor construction improves flexibility during pull-through and termination, making it a practical choice for security installers routing cable through walls, conduit, or cable trays.

This cable is suited for interior security system installations including intrusion alarm panels, access control wiring, motion detector circuits, and door and window contact runs. The riser rating makes it appropriate for vertical shaft and between-floor applications where CMR-rated cable is required by code. It is a staple product for low-voltage security contractors and alarm system integrators working on both new construction and retrofit projects.

Key Features

• 22 AWG stranded conductors for improved flexibility during installation
• 8-conductor configuration supports multi-zone or multi-function security wiring in a single cable run
• Unshielded design keeps installation straightforward in low-interference environments
• Riser (CMR) flame rating suitable for vertical between-floor runs per NEC Article 725
• White jacket finish for clean, professional appearance in finished spaces
• 1000-foot box spool reduces splicing and supports large-scale installations

Compatibility

Designed as a standard low-voltage security cable compatible with typical intrusion alarm, access control, and related security system applications requiring CMR-rated, unshielded 22 AWG multi-conductor wiring.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or alarm systems technician in accordance with NEC Article 725 and applicable local codes. De-energize the security panel and all associated circuits before making terminations. Use proper cable staples or supports rated for riser cable, and avoid sharp bends that can damage stranded conductors. Do not run this unshielded cable in the same conduit as high-voltage wiring.
