The GENESIS CABLE 21031109 is a 22 AWG 4-conductor solid unshielded riser cable rated CL2R, supplied in a 1000-foot pull box. It is designed for low-voltage signal and control wiring in building interiors where fire code requires riser-rated cable. The CL2R rating means this cable meets UL standards for use in vertical runs between floors, limiting flame spread within the raceway. Typical applications include security alarm systems, access control panels, and low-voltage control circuits. The solid conductors maintain reliable point-to-point continuity in permanent, in-wall installations. The gray jacket helps with identification in mixed-cable environments.
This cable is used in commercial and residential buildings wherever 22 AWG 4-conductor low-voltage wiring is required in riser (vertical) pathways. Security installers, low-voltage electricians, and alarm technicians commonly specify this cable for panel-to-device runs in walls and conduit. The 1000-foot box format reduces handling time on larger jobs. It is suited for fire alarm initiating circuits, intrusion detection wiring, and similar signal-level control applications where a solid conductor and riser rating are specified by the system designer or AHJ.
Designed as an OEM-style riser cable for low-voltage security, access control, and alarm control wiring in residential and commercial buildings where CL2R-rated 22 AWG 4-conductor solid cable is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage technician or electrician in accordance with NEC Article 725 and applicable local codes governing CL2R cable use in riser pathways. De-energize all connected panels and circuits before terminating conductors. Solid conductors are intended for permanent runs and should not be flexed repeatedly at connection points, as this can cause conductor fatigue and intermittent faults. Maintain minimum bend radius per the manufacturer data sheet to avoid jacket damage during pulls.
