The GENESIS CABLE 21015801 is a 22 AWG, 2-conductor solid unshielded riser-rated cable supplied on a 500-foot spool in white jacket. Riser (CMR) rating means the cable meets vertical flame-spread requirements for installation in building risers and most general in-building vertical runs. The solid conductor construction provides stable resistance characteristics suited for low-voltage control and signal applications. Electricians and low-voltage technicians use this wire for structured wiring, fire alarm secondary circuits, security systems, access control, and similar building automation runs where a riser rating is required by code.
This cable is commonly installed in commercial and residential buildings for low-voltage control wiring, intercom systems, security sensor loops, and similar applications that require CMR-rated cable in vertical shaft or riser pathways. The 500-foot spool length supports medium-to-large projects and reduces splice points across longer runs. White jacket color aids in identification and is consistent with common low-voltage wiring conventions in finished interior spaces.
Designed as a CMR-rated solid unshielded two-conductor cable for general low-voltage control, security, and building automation wiring applications requiring riser-rated wire.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified low-voltage technician in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) Article 800 and local authority having jurisdiction requirements. Confirm the riser rating is acceptable for the specific pathway before pulling cable — plenum-rated cable is required in air-handling spaces and cannot be substituted with CMR. De-energize any connected equipment and control panels before terminating conductors. Avoid sharp bends beyond the cable minimum bend radius and do not staple through the jacket in a way that damages conductors.
