The dc-cat5e-wh is a 1000-foot pull-box reel of Cat 5e, four-pair unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) cable with a white PVC jacket. Built on 24 AWG solid copper conductors, it supports Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T), Power over Ethernet (PoE), and combined voice and data runs. The PVC jacket is rated for non-plenum, dry-wall, and conduit installations. Network technicians and low-voltage cabling contractors use this cable for structured cabling deployments in residential, commercial, and light industrial facilities. The full 1000-foot pull box minimizes reel changes on large jobs and feeds smoothly through conduit or cable trays for consistent, uninterrupted runs.
This cable is suited for horizontal runs, data drops, wiring closets, and equipment rooms where a non-plenum jacket is code-acceptable. Its white jacket blends with light-colored walls, ceilings, and surface-mount raceways for clean, professional-looking exposed runs. Typical applications include office network buildouts, small business LANs, residential structured wiring panels, and IP camera or VoIP infrastructure. The 1000-foot format is standard for bulk deployment across multiple drops from a single reel.
Designed as a standard Cat 5e UTP bulk cable compatible with RJ-45 keystone jacks, patch panels, and modular plugs that accept 24 AWG solid conductors in non-plenum structured cabling installations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage cabling technician in accordance with TIA-568 structured cabling standards and applicable local codes. De-energize any active patch panels or PoE switches before terminating conductors. Avoid sharp bends tighter than the minimum bend radius and do not staple or crimp the jacket, as deformation degrades electrical performance. This cable is rated for non-plenum environments only; plenum-rated cable (CMP) is required when routing through air-handling spaces per NFPA 90A.
